Badria is a bright 16 year-old-girl, who lives in an impoverished small town in Morocco. She works in the only cybercafe in town and has become not only literate about computers and the Internet but also an avid fan of Cinema. Her dream is to become a filmmaker, however, her parents have already decided on her prearranged marriage and the date is set. With much ingenuity, Badria manages to gather her travel expenses and by cunning her fiancé takes the golden wedding ring for security and runs away to the big city, Casablanca. In Casablanca, at first, her plans seem to falter as she is about to be arrested as a runaway minor, ending up sleeping on the streets for a few nights. At last, she finds her way into working for European film production. When Marcel, responsible for “the making of,” starts a game of seduction with Badria, she falls fast for him. Marcel \promises Badria heaven in Paris and Vienna in the film industry. Finally solving her problem of shelter, Badria moves in with Marcel and is overjoyed with being on a film set. But as the production comes to an end in Morocco and Marcel dumps her, a transformed Badria is left at a crossroads with an uncertain.
